Celtic Thunder released their album, “The Home Series,” on October 25, 2025. The Home Series was a StageIt performance during the Covid lockdowns that developed into the group exploring various aspects of Irish culture as well as their own ties to it.
Through the chaos and adventures they embarked on, the constant was the music that told stories of their lives and the lives of those within Celtic culture. The music was never released, but it is now available in CD form.
Overall, the album is a great way to get even more connected
to Celtic Thunder and to have a way to remember their StageIt performances.
While the album is not available on streaming platforms, listeners can buy the
CD format.
The song starts of with “May We Never Have to Say Goodbye.”
The harmonies are beautiful, which is what fans of the band have come to love
and know. The song reminds me of going to Ireland and falling in love with the
land and its people. It makes the listener long to explore Ireland, which the Home
Series helped viewers do without leaving their couch.
It is so nice to hear Ryan Kelly singing “The Contender.” He
has not been touring with the band since he has some health things going on, so
hearing his voice and having him be included is awesome. This song is so peaceful
and relaxing, and it matches his voice so perfectly.
Damian McGinty’s voice sounded really good on “Carrickfergus.”
There for a bit, he was not singing songs that fit his voice, but this one
suits him well. He sings it with so much passion. It is obvious that he
connects with the song.
Anyone who is an Emmet Cahill fan knows that he performed “The
West’s Awake” on his solo album, “Ireland.” This album’s version of the song is
an updated version of him singing it. It is neat to hear how his voice has
grown and matured over time through him singing the song.
Overall, this album is a great album for any Celtic Thunder
fan. They sing songs that are not typically on their albums, and a few older
songs are revisited. The album is fun
and it feels like an adventure through Ireland. The mixing is well done and the
harmonies are exquisite.
