Album Review: "Open Wide" by Inhaler

Irish rock band Inhaler released their newest album, “Open Wide,” on February 7, 2025. The album was released via Universal Music Group. It features Eli Herson on vocals and guitar, Robert Keating on bass, Josh Jenkinson on guitar, and Ryan McMahon on drums. “Open Wide” is Inhaler’s third album.

This album features 13 tracks, none of which are labeled as “explicit.” The total run time of the album is just over 48 minutes. The album is a lot of fun to listen to. It is the perfect length, not being too short or too long. Listeners are left with enough substance to digest after the album ends so that they are not left desiring more, but in a good way.

Each song of the album has a place on the track list, even though each song is very unique. I love that each song has a bit of a different feel. This shows that the band is willing to try new things, and, in this case, were successful.  “A Question of You” is one of the most unique songs on the album. It is super upbeat and catchy. It even features a choir in the background! Every song tells a different story, but all of the songs are tied together by a common sound and voice of the band.

The mixing and producing on this album is also very well done. There are not any moments where the instruments overpower the vocals. It is rare that vocalists enunciate so listeners can fully understand what the lyrics are, but the singer did a pretty good job on this album.

Overall, this album is a lot of fun to listen to. The songs are all different, so listeners will be able to find a song that resonates with them. Listeners will enjoy a great album without feeling like they need more songs.
