Celtic UFO Sightings

The subject of UFOs has been on the rise in recent years. This topic, especially regarding modern sightings, has been circulating since World War II. One common misconception is that this phenomenon is purely American, but there have been sightings elsewhere as well. The Celtic world is no exception to this. Scotland, in particular, has seen a lot of UFO sightings, but other countries have their own sightings as well.

Bonnybridge and Falkirk Triangle, Scotland

Bonnybridge in Scotland has been named the UFO capital of the UK. It is said that this small town has seen the most UFO sightings on the planet with 300 sightings each year. The region the town is in has earned the nickname of the Falkirk Triangle.

In 1979, Robert Taylor came across a metallic gray vessel in the shape of a sphere. It measured seven yards in diameter and is said to stink of burning brakes. The vessel unleashed orbs with prongs that released charges that left Taylor unconscious. The sighting was even mentioned in his obituary.

In March of 1992, a family saw a blue light the size of a baseball hovering on a road between Hallglen and Bonnybridge. This came with the sound similar to a door being open and a strange howling sound. Four years later, there were reports and videos of an orange oval light spotted over Falkirk. It shifted from an oval shape to a classic white UFO flying saucer disc .

Calvine, Scotland

The Ministry of Defense has six photos of a diamond-shaped UFO over Calvine. Employees have said that these photos are the best photos the Ministry has. The photos depict a craft that is 75 feet in diameter.

Cardiff, Wales

In February of 2016, a small town of 3500 residents in Wales witnessed something out of the War of the Worlds. Residents saw military aircrafts chasing colorful drones that were circling a giant pyramid craft in the sky. Military officials claimed that it was a training exercise, but the residents believe it was something much more.

Clonmacnoise, Athlone, Co. Offaly, Ireland

In 743 CE, several ships were seen over the skies of Teltown (Clonmacnoise Abbey). Witnesses could see the crewmen inside throwing either fishing spears or an anchor to the surface. While there have been embellishments made to the story, there are records that something did, in fact, happen that year.

Galicia UFO Flap

A UFO flap is when several reports of activity appear from a certain area. It is believed that flaps indicate a rise in UFO activity. In 1995, several reports were made, including the sighting of an oval glow, a floating multicolored object, and a triangular aircraft performing maneuvers. There was even a report of a man’s car being lifted 30 feet in the air before being set down further down the road.  These sightings came from all over Galicia.
