Making your own mugs is a creative way to make something fun, festive, and practical. You can make it Celtic-themed. I decided to go with Ireland because I have ancestors from Ireland, but if you are super talented at drawing (unlike me), you can do anything from a country to Celtic knotwork. The possibilities are as endless as your creativity! Be careful- many plastic ones are unable to be used in the microwave or dishwasher.
Supplies
-Mug that you can design yourself
-Paper
-Drawing supplies
-Stickers (optional)
Directions
1. Remove the paper. If your mug does not come with paper
(mine did not), you may have to cut out a piece of construction paper or
printer paper to decorate. Make sure that it fits how you want it to. (Mine unintentionally looks like a pint of beer!)
2. Outline your design for your mug. This way, you can go back and erase if it does not look how you want it to and restart.
3. Use coloring supplies to color in your design.
4. Use stickers to embellish your mug's design.
5. Put the piece of paper back in the mug. Make sure it sits how you want it to.
6. Enjoy the mug! Use it to drink out of or as a decoration
to hold loose objects around your home.
